Principal Supply Chain Specialist
Fortune 500 company to the aerospace and defense industry.
Principal Supply Chain Specialist who will be responsible for the procurement of supplies and services. Duties will include: -Manage and liaise with external suppliers and internal staff to achieve procurement targets (price, delivery and quality) are met.-Responsible for all machining sourcing and commodity purchases.-Form strategic alliances with suppliers to reduce lead times and costs.-Streamline purchasing operations to improve performance.-Perform risk analysis-identification and resolution of supply issues in order to meet commitments.-Manage domestic/international suppliers remotely.-Liaise with engineering and quality support teams to resolve any product issues.-Ensure best practice supply chain principles are applied.
Bachelor's degree in Business administration or equivalent. .-APICS and CPIM certification a plus.-Aerovantix Portal experience a plus-Detailed MRP systems experience and substantial working knowledge of MRP system.-Thorough understanding of purchasing policies and procedures in an aerospace environment.-Excellent communications skills.-Additional language skills a plus. (Spanish/French)-Able to read drawings.-Be highly computer literate.-Strong quality focus.-Business acumen and good planning skills required. Action oriented with a drive for results. Effectively communications with suppliers. Effective team player with problem solving skills.
