Shipping/Receiving Supervisor - Second Shift

Second Shift Supervisor manages the shipping and receiving at our new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility in the Oakland Industrial Park in Newport News. Responsibilities include managing accurate finished goods receiving and location, customer order assembly and accurate shipping, product transfers, inventory accuracy, product integrity and maintaining freezer and dock areas to HACCP specifications. Works with other Shipping Supervisors and Team Leaders to effeectively train all Distribution Center hourly Employees.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and specialized training. High school diploma or equivalent is a minimum qualification. Two years of management or supervisory experience in a warehouse. Food industry or cold storage warehousing experience are preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior experience with an automated inventory control system. AS400 experience is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Forklift experience. Willingness to work overtime as required, including some weekends. Strong ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
