Product Coordinator/ Base Mfg.

A TURBINE COMPANY IN THE CHANNELVIEW AREA IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A PRODUCT COORDINATOR/ BASE MFG.
***Process owner for the fabrication of structural bases, fabricated packages components and power packages. Establish customer expectations, and manage the process to ensure customer and company expectations for cost, delivery and quality are maintained. Focus on the process of manufacturing identifying areas for improvement, and developing methods to reduce overhead while improving product throughout.
***The product coordinator will be the interface with customer, translating customer demands into production requirements. Working with Quality Control to ensure customer requirements are properly reflected in the build documentation and hold points are noted in the production plan. Release materials requirements, and production travelers and drawing to the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
*Communicate with customers, ensuring a clear link for all expectations and requirements
*Develop product cost estimates for formal bid process and for standards to be loaded into the MRP system
*Responsible for generating requisitions for purchased material to be submitted to purchasing for bid and procurement
*Populate and maintain production schedule
Maintain standard travelers for special orders
*Identify Quality requirements and ensure they are clearly communicated to the organization
*Coordinators will be Green Belts with 20% of their time allocated to process improvements through the 6Sigma methodologies.

***Strong computer skills are required to facilitate this position. A college degree with emphasis on manufacturing preferred or related experience may be substituted for degree. An understanding of quality systems, knowledge of ISO 9000, and 6Sigma must be demostrated.
