Material Handler III

The company has 19 brands including Tony's®, Red Baron®, Freschetta®, Edwards®, Mrs. Smith's and the Schwan's® brandGENERAL PURPOSEThis position, under limited supervision, is responsible for successfully moving materials, supplies and finished goods through the facility, which may include unloading semis, loading route trucks, double counting, cycle counting, fueling route trucks, driving route trucks/shuttle trucks between locations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMoves materials through facility with the use of material handling equipment i.e., forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane, ASRS, etc.Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and places in proper containers or designated areas.Uses tools such as hammers and crowbars to remove strapping, open crates, strap cars.Uses the computer to dispense and receive advanced information that includes product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.Completes elaborate paperwork to properly document work performed.Conducts advanced material audits.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School diploma or equivalent.Years of Related Experience: 4-7 years related experience.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced communication skills. Advanced PC and good math skills. Ability to operate and handling equipment including forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane, etc.Must meet the Federal Department of Transportation eligibility requirements, including appropriate driver's license and corresponding medical certification as a condition of employment for this position.EOE
