Marketing Assistant

The position of Marketing Assistant reports to the Director of Marketing and Product Development of PLUS Orthopedics.

SUMMARY PROFILE:

Support of the marketing and product management activities for the Marketing Department. This will include managing all aspects of the trade shows, sales training, surgical skills courses, development of marketing literature, website updates coordination with web administrator, assisting Product Managers in product launches, competitive analysis, market research, inventory analysis, marketing plans and product strategy plans.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

•Manage trade shows (registration, shipment of materials, reservation of rooms, etc), sales training (registration of trainees, booking of hotel rooms, organization of meals, transportation), surgical skills courses
•Maintenance of web site as directed by Product Managers by communicating and managing the projects with our web administrator
•Work closely with Product Managers to ensure the effective and timely execution of marketing projects
•Support the Marketing Department with all promotional activities
•Support field sales with all information requests and coordinate internal resources to fulfill customer requests
•Create and distribute sales and marketing reports
•Assist in the creation and approval of marketing materials, including proofreading/editing duties and movement of the paperwork through the change control process
•Assist in creation and approval of product management documents including purchase order requests and change notices
•Support the Patient Education Program
•Manage inventory of all marketing materials and reprints

ADDITIONAL REMARKS ABOUT NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Marketing Assistant will coordinate all company activities regarding their assigned projects. The Marketing Assistant will interface with virtually all functional areas of the company at all levels – Operations, Finance, Regulatory, Marketing & Product Development, Sales, Customer and Patient Services, etc., in order to meet the sales and marketing objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelors degree (business, marketing, or communications preferred)
•1 – 2 years marketing experience in the healthcare industry, preferably medical device
•Excellent written and verbal skills
•Strong organizational and problem solving skills
•Ability to make decisions with minimal direction
•Detail orientated
•Proficiency with MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
•Some travel may be required


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift 50 pounds, standing for extended periods of time at trade shows and meetings.
