Group:Kitchen & Bath GroupBASIC FUNCTIONDevelop the application and administration of Quality Management Systems for Global Faucets. Implement strategies for Supplier Quality Management. Develop applications of Quality Engineering methods for Global Faucets to include variability reduction techniques. Oversee the activities of the Corrective Action Process group to reduce warranty and provide expertise and support for KOS implementation.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESModel the Global Faucets Leadership Competencies and the Kohler Co. Core Competencies.Implement and maintain certification to ISO 9000 or QS 9000 Quality Management System as required, and ensure that the systems are used to drive improvement.Work cross-functionally (especially with Purchasing and Engineering) to define and execute Supplier Quality Management and Supplier Development strategies, with the goal of reducing variation (and cost) in sourced materials.Develop a staff of Quality Engineers and Analysts who can lead the organization in application of quality methods (Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, DOE, etc.).Coordinate closely with Technical Services KOS support group, so that Quality methods are seen in the context of KOS.Help drive the integration of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Quality, and Team-Based organizations.Provide strategic guidance and management oversight to Corrective Action Program Manager in diagnosing and eliminating warranty problems.RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTSSupervisory:Reports direct to Vice President-Operations, Global Faucets.Staff includes:Direct Reports:

Occasionally represent Kohler Co. in outside forums.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBS or MS, preferably in an Engineering field, minimum of five (5) years experience in Operations, Consulting, or Quality Management. Strong background in Quality Management, especially variability reduction and process improvement. Good background in Lean Manufacturing. Baldrige Examiner, Experience with QS 9000, or ASQ Certification as CQE or CQM is highly desirable.
