The Montgomery Cancer Center, has a current opening for a MEDICAL CODER. This individual will work in our Business Office and will audit all encounter forms to assure accuracy of charges as well as diagnostic and procedural codes. He/she is also responsible for the accurate and timely entry of charges to appropriate patient accounts. Qualifications include: qMinimum of 2 years experience in a physician practice/health care setting. qMust have advanced knowledge of medical terminology. qMust have at least 1 year of experience in billing and/or collections. qMust have in depth knowledge of ICD-9m and CPT coding.
