Senior Software Developer

Job Description:
Programming and development support for the CBS Digital Media. This position will support the design, development and maintenance of internet-based applications for new and existing projects. This individual will work closely with the project team, including the technical lead, project manager and creative lead, in identifying software requirements for new projects. Additionally, this position will work with the Director of Software Development in the design, development, implementation and testing of these projects and support the internet group on daily requirements of existing projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Candidates must show a proven record of commitment to clients, development teams, and successful completion of development projects.

Responsibilities:
•Design and develop back-end software for internet applications
•Communicate with technical lead and project manager to resolve outstanding project issues and create solutions
•Support day-to-day back-end requirements of internet group: manage requests and prioritize tasks
•Work with IT group to address and trouble-shoot issues/problems with applications
•Use of technical knowledge and experience to suggest better standards for existing and future projects
•Weekly reporting to manager on project status and issues
REQUIREMENTS
Skills:
•Minimum 4 years experience in high-traffic/high-volume internet-based development
•6 or more years experience with Java Servlets and JSP
•3 or more years experience with relational database systems preferably Oracle; knowledge of SQL language also required
•1 or more years experience with Hibernate and Spring frameworks
•2 or more years experience with CGI Perl (mod_perl)
•Extensive experience with HTML and JavaScript
•Experience with Linux operating system and Apache web server
