CDM is a global leader in water/wastewater engineering. Our rapidly growing Phoenix office serves clients throughout Arizona and currently has the following needs.
Senior Designer / Drafter
Technical skills gained from education, training, and experience enables this level of Designer to work independently or cooperatively and complete demanding design assignments. Position may also serve as a Lead Designer on both small project and major components of large projects.
Designer will prepare detail and layout drawings and sketches of water and wastewater facilities including complex designs. Will also provide oversight and guidance to other design/drafting personnel and deliver design sketches to staff for preparation of finished design drawings, general layouts and refinement of technical requirements. Regularly interfaces with project design engineers to support project production. Designer will ensure overall consistency, quality and technical accuracy of drafting work on design projects.
Candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or technical training in drafting technology or equivalent; Associates degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience preparing contract drawings is required. Must have experience in designing/drafting of water/wastewater facilities using AutoCAD. Arizona experience is preferred. 3D experience and graphics capabilities helpful.
Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer
This position is for a key person in our local water / wastewater engineering practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of consulting engineering, focusing on design of municipal water and wastewater utilities. Responsibilities will include leading design tasks for water treatment distribution, and wastewater treatment and collection projects. Preference given to those that have previous experience in Arizona.
This opportunity requires a minimum of a B.S., M.S. preferred, in civil/environmental engineering or a related field and a minimum of 12 years of directly related experience. Candidates must have an Arizona PE or ability to obtain reciprocity within 12 months. Strong knowledge of client utilities in the Phoenix area is preferred.
