Microsoft .NET Designer/Developers - Qualifications

Responsibilities:
•Develop software applications from requirements and prototype through implementation.
•Enhance existing VB applications when appropriate.
•Plan and conduct unit, system and integration testing. Support user acceptance testing of
application changes.
•Participate in design; code, test results and implementation plan reviews with senior development staff.
•Support development of application and technical architectures for the projects assigned.
•Provide comprehensive and effective knowledge transfer where appropriate
REQUIREMENTS
Some of what we look for in prospective employees is as follows:

•Self-starters AND team players who can work independently under general guidelines.
•Strong working knowledge of object-oriented design.
•EXCELLENT verbal and written communications skills.
•Experience with information system analysis, design, coding and implementation.
•Strong client server and Web development experience using Oracle, MS SQL, or other RDMS.
•Experience writing stored procedures and schema design with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
•Strong development experience using VB.Net and ASP.Net.
•Experience with the development of .NET framework and its components.
•Experience with traditional VB Application maintenance and development.
•Exposure to active directory security.
•Exposure to PVCS, Visual SourceSafe, or other configuration management tools.
•Experience / exposure to development methodologies such as RAD/JAD, UML and SOAP.
•Understanding of web layout using ASP, HTML, DHTML, VB Script, Java Script, CSS.
•Proven experience working on software development life cycle practices.
•Experience translating requirements to design specifications and code.
•Experience or exposure to Visual Studio
•Experience with VB.NET and/or C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET,
•Experience with Web Services, XML
•Experience estimating the duration of design and development tasks.
•Very Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•BS in Computer Science, or similar is preferred.
