At our tertiary care hospital, you'll encounter the meaningful challenges you seek. This is a temporary on call position. Primary Purpose: Arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of all patients; acts as primary liaison for patients, families being admitted to Phoenix Children?s Hospital by preparing admission forms and obtaining necessary documentation as required along with the verification of all demographic information; ensures co-pays and deductibles are collected at the time of admission. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Associate?s degree in health care, business or closely related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience 2. Must have at least 2 years previous experience in a hospital setting including 6 months experience with centralized computer-based patient admission or billing system; AMPFM or SCM platform preferred. 3. Strong oral and written English skills, bilingual Spanish preferred Work Environment: Activities are performed on an environmentally controlled unit subject to long periods of sitting and data entry; frequently required to bend, lift, push and pull objects up to 25 pounds. Ability to clearly communicate in English, read, write, see and hear to perform essential duties Supervision Received/Given: This position receives regular supervision of work activities from the Admitting Manager.
