Salary range $12 - $15.40 DOE
Already have a Holiday vacation planned? We can accomodate!New hires will have choice of working Dec 23rd thru Jan. 2nd, but can take time off using ETB or Dock time if they choose.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Answers questions and resolves problems for policyholders via the telephone.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (including % of Time)
90% Phone Handling.
* Solves problems and answer questions from policyholders, lien holders and additional insureds regarding coverages, rates and billing issues.
* Adds and deletes vehicles, drivers, and coverages from existing policies.
* Keyboards or otherwise processes cancellations, renewals, reinstatements, endorsements, payments, and state/federal filings on Progressive systems.
* Faxes policy information as requested.
* Uses computerized systems to track, gather information, and answer inquiries.

* Meets with coach or manager for feedback regarding phone etiquette, technical efficiency, and/or performance reviews.
* Stays abreast of changing procedures and processes.
* Effectively uses current systems and applies most up-to-date procedures and enhancements.
* Attends training as appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum 2 years of postsecondary education or 2 years work experience in a position that developed the ability to think critically, solve problems, serve customers, effectively communicate verbally and embrace new challenges.
* Background/experience that demonstrates consistent job stability, including a minimum of 1 year of experience with a single employer
* Proficient in computer window-based programs with excellent navigational skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to deliver caring and attentive, knowledgeable, confident, helpful, and prompt phone service.
* Ability to handle stress and complex and diverse calls in a call center environment.
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
