Vocational Rehab Consultant, Spokane, WA (& surrounding area)

Responsible for managing assigned case load to ensure individuals receive appropriate services in order to return-to-work and normal activity timely and in the most cost effective manner. Caseload will possess multiple difficult case issues and/or injuries that may include catastrophic/complex medical/disability cases requiring Advanced Skill Levels and/or Training Specialization. MA degree preferred; CRC/CDMS certification & WA L&I experience required.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Interview and evaluate claimants to determine degree of disability and employability.
2. Provide vocational counseling services to claimants.
3. Develop and implement the vocational rehabilitation plan.
4. Conduct ongoing assessments of the plan for successful case management.
5. Act as liaison with all parties involved in the rehab process.
6. Complete and maintain appropriate documentation (i.e. case notes, reports, billing, etc.).
7. Develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers.
8. Provide technical direction to VRC staff to resolve medical, RTW and/or catastrophic injuries. Serves as mentor to VRC staff.
9. Performs casework that does possess multiple difficult case issues and/or injuries which may include catastrophic/complex medical/disability cases requiring Advanced Skill Levels and/or Training Specialization.
10. Accurately and appropriately charges for services rendered.
11. Perform additional duties and/or is assigned special projects as requested.
Must be available to travel and work irregular hours. Must have valid drivers license and vehicle.
