Function: Poultry Live ProductionPay Type: ExemptPosition Number: 90019015 Technical Advisor IEmployee Type: Full Time Shift 1Job Description: SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring all chicks are handled and placed in the most efficient manner possible while maintaining high quality, and for ensuring all USDA and other government regulations are followed when handling poultry, setting and administering personnel policies, and constructing buildings. This position could include overseeing the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and trucks, determining the number of eggs to set and the appropriate placement of chicks, and/or explaining Tyson specifications for poultry house construction and equipment requirements. Other responsibilities could include maintaining the cooler inventory and coordinating kill dates, monitoring unloading procedures, dock locks, and cooler rotation, and processing invoices and closing documents for Met-Life jobs and/or loans. Other duties might include working with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating chick placement and incoming egg delivery dates, monitoring the quality and handling procedures of the product (TTQM), and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.Experience: 3+ yearsComputer Skills: Elementary computer skills. For example, checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.POSITION REPORTS TO: Broiler Manager
