Systems Engineer - Application Deployment

Systems Engineer - Windows OS; Microsoft Exchange, IIS; SQL, Active Directory and web applications, Automated Scripts, Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Visio

This team in the Software Giant's XIT unit is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual with deep experience in application deployments to development and test servers. This individual also must be able to effectively troubleshoot and quickly solve build issues and work closely with production team leads and project management to create and meet build schedules.

The key objective of this role is to decrease build turn-around time and improve content quality by evaluating and recommending build process enhancements and modifications to the development and test teams. In order to achieve this, the person in this role must be able to maintain a flexible working schedule (including some late nights and weekends during critical periods).

Requirements:



Required Skills for this Systems Engineer include the following: The successful candidate must have excellent teamwork, organization and communication skills, be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have proven ability to learn, develop and apply new tools, processes and technologies. The person in this role also must be able to prioritize daily workflow and demands on quality, time and resources and have a strong drive for results.

2-3 years experience in:
Managing Windows OS; Microsoft Exchange, IIS; SQL, Active Directory and web applications
Writing automated scripts (batch files, JScript, SQL etc); and standard coding and debugging techniques (C++, C#).
Setting up development/test environments


2+ years experience in:
Strong verbal and written communications
Issue Management
Inter-departmental troubleshooting experience

1-2 years experience in Visual Studio .NET and Microsoft Visio. MCSE certification is preferred.
