Support Engineer - Excel, SQL, Perl

Become the Subject Matter Expert on a large volume of data and run different analyses for a variety of customers within the Software Giant located in Redmond, Washington. This will require a firm understanding of customer data generated from multiple source systems, as well as the businesses' purpose for and dependence upon these data.

Job Duties also include:
Utilize data analysis and data manipulation features of SQL Server, Excel, Perl and other data tools. Generate information quality reporting and analysis.
Perform analysis on staffing metrics, identify trends and perform forecasting. Work with a fantastic team to ensure consistency across reporting practices.
Mentor and/or train client groups on reports, as well as in the interpretation of data.

Requirements:



Required Skill Sets Needed:
3 years of work related experience is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
Advanced proficiency with Excel (i.e. pivot tables, add-ins, & macros) is required.
Advanced knowledge of SQL ((SSIS or DTS), Analysis Services, OLAP), Perl and any other data analysis tool.
Demonstrated proficiency in handling large sets of data from multiple sources.
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and communicate the data, and to translate results into actionable recommendations or forecasts.
