Today, we serve 99 percent of the Fortune« 1000 companies, as well as government organizations, educational institutions and thousands of other companies in diverse industries worldwide.We are currently looking for a qualified Technical Consultant to join our Clarity Division of the Technology Services Business Unit at our office located in Bentonville, AR.The Clarity Technology Services organization is responsible for delivering business solutions to our customers using the Clarity software they have purchased. The Technical Consultant possesses a broad set of technical skills that enables him/her to perform a wide range of technical functions for our customer base, including installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches of the Clarity software; technical configuration; data loading, extraction, and transformation using a variety of tools / methods; interface development between Clarity and a variety of other applications; definition of custom defined fields and tables in the Clarity database; portlet development; stored procedures against the Clarity database for customer specific functionality; performance testing and optimization; and the analysis of complex customer issues involving data, hardware, software, and network. Technical Consultants work on multiple customer assignments in parallel and travel from 80% to 100% of the time.We are seeking the best candidates that have the following qualifications: a minimum of 5+ years experience working for top tier software vendor and/or for a top tier consulting firm performing enterprise application consulting; strong knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL Server databases, including excellent SQL skills, stored procedures, backup/restore, import/export, and modification of database settings; strong knowledge of Windows, Sun Solaris, and HP-UX, and Linux operating systems, including the ability to create/modify batch files and shell scripts; development/scripting experience with Java, PERL, HTML, XML, and GEL; knowledge of general networking and security procedures; performance testing and optimization; ability to work in a high stress environment; excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; live near a major airport and be willing to travel between 80% to 100%.
