Project Engineer

Company Background:
Our Client designs, builds, validates and integrates compute engines (purpose-specific computers) and high level assemblies for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).

Summary:
This Project Engineer is responsible for leading product development projects, performing compatibility and performance tests on various computing platforms and for qualifying product as "ready for sale". This candidate will work with the Product Engineering group, which is highly strategic in new customer engagements in addition to maintaining existing client engagements. The candidate will also work closely with Product Marketing and customers in the development of compute engines to meet the customer’s specific requirements. The Project Engineer’s Product Engineering team will create and validate designs to meet mechanical, environment, ergonomic and functional requirements. The Project Engineer will also provide internal resources for performing diagnostics at the board level.

Responsibilities:
•Provide support for diagnosing board level issues
•Integrate customer applications with a specified revision of an Operating system on the target platform
•Lead multiple, concurrent projects pertaining to new platform configurations and the related testing, certification and transition to manufacturing
•Perform thermal performance tests on platform components across operating and storage conditions to qualify product for sale
•Test defined platform configurations against compatibility and performance requirements, and qualifies for sale
REQUIREMENTS
Experience/Requirements:
•Overall the best candidates will be technically competent with computer hardware and have previous work experience in a fast paced environment
