Program Manager Data Warehouse/Reporting, Web

Work in Redmond, Washington at the Largest Software Developer in Redmond Washington as a Feature PM on Data Warehousing/Reporting and in the Help & Support segment of Help Desk Functions.

Day to Day: This person will be working with the Technical Writer and the Feature teams on a weekly basis and would be managing the partners who host the Web content. This PM will be responsible to keep everything up to date and will be the liaison between the teams. This person will be responsible for designing and delivering the next-generation solution to help consumers get their questions answered and problems resolved. As a PM at the Software Giant, you will be responsible for:
Creating Help & Support scenarios.
Defining and delivering end-user support technologies (client features and their support website) as well as tools to increase agent efficiency.
Coordinating with development, test, marketing, product support, user assistance, usability and design teams to drive their Help & Support efforts forward.
Managing internal partnerships and dependencies with various groups within the company's online Web network and Product Support.
Researching, writing and gaining approval for subsequent feature design change requests, based on business and customer need.

Requirements:



Required Skills for this Program Manager position will include:
Solid understanding of SQL and databases
Previous Program Management experience with this Software Giant would be very desirable
This person must have both technical and core PM skills
Experience with SQL
Experience with database design - including cubes, Data Warehousing, SQL2005, SQL Reporting Server, Analysis Services
Ability to work within a budget and direct day to day activities of a program
Strong technical skills in the area of developing and testing software products required
Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills required
Must have the ability to think strategically
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
May require specialized knowledge as defined by project
Knowledge of consumer products
Must be able to relay customer empathy
Ability to drive virtual teams
Knowledge of Help & Support
Ability to think Outside the Box
Must be a quick learner
Ability to multitask
Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred

You should have a strong technical background as well as a strong customer focus, particularly with compassion for the average consumer, who isn't a technology expert and doesn't want to be. You should be able to deliver innovative but simple solutions to complex, end-user problems. You should be able to wade through complex issues related to integration of many disparate systems. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as is the ability to build strong relationships with partner groups. You need to have:
3+ years of program management experience including direct involvement in at least 2 release cycles for end-user Win32 client applications or Web Services
2+ years experience designing and specifying end-user features
Knowledge of help and support models is a plus.
