Patent Counsel

About The Position: Our client, a prestigious Electrical Equipment Company, is looking for a Patent Counsel with at least 4 years (EE/Physics) of experience in preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications. Responsibilities: (1) Preparing and prosecuting of US and foreign patent applications; (2) Counseling the client regarding patent matters, including potential patent infringements, both offensive and defensive; (3) Performing due diligence analysis for potential new acquisitions and investments; (4) Supporting both licensing and litigation teams (patent claim interpretation and analysis), and (5) Occasionally support the client with respect to patent, trademark and copyright counseling. Requirements (1) 4+ years of patent prosecution experience; (2) an EE and/or Physics degree OR significant preparation of patent applications (over 20 cases) in communications engineering, signal processing; (3) Very strong technical skills focused on electrical engineering and communications required, and (4) Admitted to the USPTO + at least one State Compensation: Competitive compensation and excellent benefits offered.
