Lab/Test Engineer

Lab/Test Engineer Specific duties include flashing mobile devices with the latest versions of Windows CE and Microsoft Mobile software, as well as running different types of tests on retail devices. Most of the tests are automated, and tasks include beginning execution of the tests, monitoring the execution for failures, and logging the results and opening bugs.

Other Duties include:
Maintaining a set of machines (usually in a laboratory setting).
Troubleshooting hardware and software problems as required.
Installing software.
Running some automated and/or manual tests based on a clear set of instructions.
Providing status reports on test scenarios, lab/machine issues and configurations.
Moving/lifting of hardware.

Requirements:



Years of Work Experience:
2-4 years of lab maintenance
1-3 years of hardware/software troubleshooting
1 year of automation experience

Skills needed are:
an attention to detail
ability to troubleshoot some software, hardware and networking issues
clear written communication skills
a good team spirit
strong work ethic
