In-House Attorney - Procurement Counsel

Spherion Legal is seeking candidates for Procurement Counsel for a prominent software company in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities include: Review, draft, and negotiate purchasing and service agreements, statements of work, purchase orders, and other contracts; prepare amendments, addendums, renewals and extensions to agreements; provide legal advice to company personnel in matters affecting day-to-day business operations; serve as liaison to outside counsel on variety of matters; advise management on contract disputes, settlements, and possible litigation.

REQUIREMENTS
J.D. from top tier law school and licensed in any jurisdiction; At least 1 year experience with law firm and/or in-house department; Experienced in contract law and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements; Familiarity with information technology industry a strong plus.
