In-Home Counselor / Family Support Worker

Bienvenidos Children's Center, Inc., (BCC) is a state licensed nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable children and families by delivering services that are comprehensive, culturally responsive and effective models of prevention and intervention.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct home visits, assessments for children, youth and participating project families that are impacted by Substance Abuse;

2. Provide counseling and case management services to children, youth and families;

3. Meet with identified families in their home environment as prescribed by the family case plan;

4. Complete all necessary documentation according to project protocol;

5. Participate in regularly scheduled interdisciplinary case conferences with Project Support Team.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
CAADAC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor) and/or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline. Candidate must have a minimum of three years of practical experience in the field of Substance Abuse and serving families.

Class 3 Drivers License
