Potential candidates should be open to a proactive mentoring and continuous education environment.At this time, we seek individuals with Federal Accounting and Finance experience to work as a member of a project team on an accounting, finance, or budget-related engagement for the Department of Defense. Engagements may focus on financial improvement initiatives, audit and internal controls, and/or analysis of Financial Plans submitted by DoD component activities.
Regardless of the specific engagement, the focus is on working with clients in a consultative manner, helping them solve problems based upon creative team solutions.Opportunities are available in the Washington, DC metro area and Dayton, OH.Requirements:

5+ years in a U.S. Federal accounting, DoD financial management, or public accounting role.
Â
5+ years of experience in the following areas:

Implementation of performance metrics

Accounting and Financial Analysis
Â
3+ years of experience with MS Office 2000, specifically Excel and Access
Â
Undergraduate degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline
Â
U.S. citizenshipDesired qualifications:
Â
Experience working with Federal Governmental Accounting and Financial Statements as well as DoD Financial Management systems and processes is highly desirable.
Â
Self-starter with the ability to function with limited supervision
Â
Reliable, self motivated and focused on high quality delivery and working as part of a team
Â
CPA, CGFM, or CDFM a plus
Â
Excellent communication and presentation skills
