CH2M HILL's Virginia Beach, Virginia office is growing and we are currently looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Services team. In this exciting role you will be given the opportunity to apply your 5 plus years of experience on a variety of environmental investigation/remediation projects. Typical tasks would include task management, environmental sampling, remedial construction oversight, remedial action evaluations and estimating, and report writing. All work will be performed in a manner consistent with CH2M HILL’s, and our client’s health and safety requirements. As an integral member of our team you will have the opportunity to excel within a team-oriented office environment.




job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a B.S./B.A. degree in a Geology or Hydrogeology, with 5 years of professional consulting and field experiences.

Candidates must have there OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPPER training completed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidate will have 7 years of experience and be a versatile consultant that wants to work on a variety of different projects and has the ability to learn new skills quickly under the guidance of others.

Candidate should be able to interact with teams spread over multiple offices.

A strong emphasis on health and safety is required with some experience with behavior-based health & safety programs as a plus.

Good communication skills are required to communicate effectively with contractors, project team, project manager, and other stakeholders.

Candidates should possess the attributes to become a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self starter that takes initiative and has a service mentality).

Certification Required:

OSHA, 40 HR HAZWOPPER
