Counselor / Hospice Bereavement — Rewarding role

We're looking for a compassionate and highly professional individual to oversee our bereavement program and ensure compliance with federal and local regulations. This is a start-up position, offering the chance to participate in the development of your role, along with the reward of helping people through a sensitive time. The primary responsibilities of this position include:


Managing the administrative function and tracking time sensitive material and activities
Developing plans of care for family of patients that have passed away
Following up through correspondence, calls and visits
Providing counseling and support groups
Providing referrals to appropriate resources
Monitoring team activity
Training volunteers on follow-up calls
Presenting programs for recruiting volunteers and staff

Job Requirements:

A bachelor's degree is required in a related healthcare field, such as Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Theology, or related. Healthcare experience is also needed. Supervisory and/or hospice experience is preferred.
