As an example, you might be researching competitive product offerings while working with Product Managers and development teams to redesign their products to optimize user interface/ interaction.As a usability engineer you'll conduct usability studies, analyze data and write reports under the supervision of a Usability Manager. You'll develop and manage relationships with product teams, and work with them to develop test questions and usability studies. You'll oversee projects and work with the supervising Usability Manager in identifying and addressing critical usability issues.Qualifications -
2 to 5 years of work related experience in Human Machine Interaction or usability required.
Demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing human behavioral data required.
Must be knowledgeable and skilled in a variety of usability assessment methodologies.
Excellent communication skills required.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience in project management preferred.
Prior experience working at Microsoft a PLUS!
Prior experience with complex business software is highly desirable.
Masters degree in Psychology, Human Factors or related field required or Bachelors degree in Psychology, Human Factors or related field with equivalent work experience in Behavioral Science.
