Business Analyst

Come grow with us!!! We are seeking a senior financial analyst with significant EVMS skills to work initially as the assistant PCO of DIMHRS, a large ERP implementation project. DIMHRS has about 180 team members and multiple clients, creating a unique and challenging EVMS environment. The candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Work closely with the PCO to distribute available budget among planning packages.
• Work closely with Cost Account Managers to create detailed plans for cost accounts and work packages.
• Apply understanding of EVMS help keep the EVMS plan and the schedule in synch with one another.
• Take responsibility for the measurement of earned value at the work package level.
• Take primary responsibility for the tracking of accruals on a monthly basis.
• Work closely with the PCO to develop the monthly Contract Performance Report formats 1 through 5.
• Work closely with cost account managers to prepare appropriate variance analyses as a part of CPR form 5.
• Work with managers at all levels to monitor earned value metrics at the work package level.
• Work with the PCO to prepare program status reports and financial forecasts for use by NG management.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules for proposals, and advise program management on the impact of scope changes on the schedule.
The place of work will be in New Orleans, but will require travel to Northern Virginia during the first few weeks of employment.

The ideal candidate will hold a B.S. degree and 10 or more years project financial management experience. Expertise in EVMS is essential. Expertise using the Microframe Project Management (MPM) system is highly desirable. Experience with scheduling techniques is also desirable. Experience with large federal or DOD software intensive system development projects highly desirable. Candidates must be willing to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to provide leadership and training to less experienced analysts.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess or be able to obtain Department of Defense Secret clearance.
