Assistant Project Analyst - Remediation

HGL, a leader in the Environmental Consulting industry has an open position in its Herndon, VA office for an Assistant Project Analyst – Remediation. Job Description: Provides program support to DoD environmental remediation R&D programs. Primary responsibilities include monitoring and analysis of the technical and financial progress of research and demonstration projects, as well as reviewing technical documentation and drafting promotional materials to facilitate technology transfer. Additional tasks may include assistance in preparation of data packages and research proposal information for technical review workgroups, documenting workgroup meetings in the form of technical notes, conducting data entry and retrieval, and communicating via phone, fax, or email to project principal investigators in the field. REQUIREMENTS
B.S./B.A. in Environmental Science, Integrated Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, Biology, or related discipline. 0 - 2 years experience, entry level. This position is geared toward the business side of science, it is not a field or lab oriented position. Other Requirements: Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills a must. Must be detail oriented. Competency in MS Office and Word required. Experience with Web enabled databases and Excel a plus. Drug test required.
