Application Analyst
The Application / Content Integration Engineer reports to the IT Manager and provides design, implementation and application integration services for new and existing systems. Primary focus will be on knowledge management systems that integrate into the production environment. Activities include working with business teams to identify content requirements for knowledge management systems and integrating tools for navigation, search and capture of this information. Design elements include performance, functionality, and reliability factors in a highly integrated and mobile environment. In addition, this position will provide second level technical support for issues escalated by level one technical resources.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, document and propose application integration designs for enhancements to existing systems and implementations of new Knowledge Management tools.Work with various business units at the firm to identify required knowledge content and access methods.Implement integration using WEB, mobile and client based technologies.Perform required research and prototypes for new technology implementations.Develop and execute end user training and support materials.Replace, repair or upgrade defective or inadequate software applications.Provide Project Management functions and status reporting to IT Manager.Automate the installation and updates of applications and supporting integration through Microsoft and option third party tools and scripts.Attend technical conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new software integration and security.
Principle Accountabilities:Document installation and configuration elements of all integration projects.Maintain accurate records in the Help Desk Management software for all support services performed.Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through communications and follow up.Perform tasks assigned by IT Manager in an accurate and timely manner.Ongoing research and skills based improvement self study and company sponsored seminars and training classes.Maintain weekly status reports for ongoing projects and services performed.

Underlying these qualities the qualified candidate must have a strong customer service orientation in dealing with the needs of highly mobile consultants in several offices throughout the country..
Application and Operating System Experience:
The incumbent must possess application and operating system knowledge for the following systems and software.
Windows XP Operating System Knowledge.Windows 2003 Server in an Enterprise Environment.User Profile and Security Management Background with secure WEB communications.Microsoft Exchange Server/Outlook Integration Expertise.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft WEB technologies including IIS, Sharepoint and Front Page 2003.Advanced MS Sharepoint WWS/SPS integration, management and troubleshooting Skills.Troubleshooting HTML, ASP, ASPX web implementations.Application Management and Desktop Management Background and Skills.Windows Client Network Setup and Configuration.Windows Registry Modification, Settings, etc.VBS Scripting knowledge and experience.Detailed Microsoft Office Integration, VBA, and Macro knowledge.

Experience with client/server database applications in a MS SQL production environment.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree (B.A.) or equivalent four year college/Technical school, or combination of education and experience. Experience in real world implementation a must.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
