Title: Account Consultant Principal Work Group: Business Markets Group (BMG) Classification: Regular Full-Time Location: 1801 California St Denver, CO Typical Work Hours: Employees are scheduled to work at least forty (40) hours per calendar week Job Summary /Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Account Consultant is the sales and sales support of complex communication solutions (IP, data, voice, etc.) for Business Customers. This is accomplished by understanding the customer's business needs and strategies, building relationships and long term partnerships with the customer and developing and applying QWEST solutions to those needs and strategies. The position is responsible for positioning QWEST with the customer and positioning QWEST strategic products with the customers. As a primary interface with both internal and external customers, this position requires delivering the Spirit of Service in all areas of service. Responsible for attainment of revenue objectives and service quality objectives and must be proficient at designing, pricing and proposing total system solutions to the customer. Responsible for input to and execution of account plans while leading and managing the development of the Service Plan segment for the overall Account Plan. Actively engages and coordinates with large customers, ensuring superior service levels are maintained and leading customer specific quality improvement plans as documented and identified in the Service Plan. Experience working in a self-managed environment with little supervision. Actively work and for coordinate activities in support of sales, with numerous teams that support the provisioning, design, installation and billing of sales to customers. Management retains the right to modify the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of this job at any time based on needs of the business Basic Qualifications, Skills and Education 5+ years of experience supporting large/national accounts as it pertains to telecommunications products and services. Extensive experience and knowledge working with PC and software technologies (to include: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required. Experience with Verio is desired. Experience supporting a sales team and sales support team in the area of Telecommunications solutions to include facilitation of proposals, product offering, agreements, contract review and support, and managing customer priorities with company initiatives. Superior time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment combined with the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering superior customer service to internal and external customers. Previous experience supporting and preparing formal proposals and presentations for presentation to senior level management and end user customer groups using PowerPoint, Excel, and Verio. Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Education : BS/BA in Business, Liberal Arts, Economics, MIS/CIS, or other related field preferred.
