Superintendent

The Pasadena Office of WEST Builders is currently looking for strong Superintendents to join its team for a long term career working in the Southern California area. WEST is currently working on new projects throughout LA and is rapidly expanding with many opportunities for motivated and exceptional people. WEST Builders is a $125 million dollar company rapidly growing with lots of opportunities for growth.POSITION DESCRIPTION:Superintendent for onsite management and project execution.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preconstruction:
Assist Project Director with review of Owner Contract, Subcontracts, and Estimates.
Establish project Master Schedule and staging/coordination plan.
Coordinate set up of project offices, systems, and staffing.Project Execution:
Manage and lead WEST Builders Field Professional Staff, Subcontractors, Laborers, and Suppliers. Use leadership skills to bring project team and subcontractors through project completion.
Modify company Safety System for jobsite specific program.
Monitor and track jobsite Quality Program including reviews by outside consultants and jobsite staff.
Update and coordinate Master Schedule with weekly progress schedules.
Work with Architect, Engineer, Owner, and City Agencies to work through challenges.
Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
Work with Project Director to develop costing projections.Compensation Package:Base Salary Range: Based on Experience

REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements/Preferred:Work experience developed from building trades or construction engineering backgrounds are both acceptable. Ability to be a leader, knowledge of construction, and problem solving abilities are critical.Computer proficiency:
Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook essential. Suretrack or equivalent necessary for scheduling.Other work experience Requirement/Preferred:
Ideal candidate will have 3-10 years experience as a Superintendent. Experience with wood,concrete, steel, and metal stud frame. Commercial office, residential condominium, retail, or mixed use projects in the $15-$45 Mil range.
