Property and Construction Manager*

Sutter Solano Medical Center is a not-for-profit community hospital serving residents of southern Solano County. Formerly known as Vallejo General Hospital, the hospital was established in 1921 and moved to its present location in 1969. The hospital has 111 licensed beds and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Sutter Solano Medical Center affiliated with Sutter Health in 1983 ensuring its ability to continue providing healthcare services and improving the wellness of the people in the communities of Vallejo, Benicia and American Canyon.


The Property / Construction Manager's primary role will be property management for the Cancer Center / MOB and construction management for Sutter Solano Medical Center and the Cancer Center. The incumbent will ensure that proper, through and current documentation with respect to codes, standards, regulations and their application. Assures that all projects are in compliance with licensing and OSPHD criteria. The manager will oversee all phases of construction projects including but not limited to, planning, design, permits construction and close out. Delivers project communication and conducts meetings with various committees and individuals in a manner that is conducive to high quality customer service. Responsible for oversight of maintenance and tenant improvement needs. Assist with plans for management of leased buildings, renal properties, rental rate modifications, tenant and prospective tenant occupancy intentions and lease compliance. REQUIREMENTS


Education/Licensure: BA degree in management or related field or equivalent education and experience preferred.Specialized training and/ or experience in advance project management desirable



Experience:Three (3) or more years in an acute care setting managing large projects, space utilization and /or property management- required. Five (5) or more years of Engineering experience required



Perquisite Skills:

1. Knowledge of construction terminology and familiarity with codes and regulations such as JCAHO, Title 22, OSHPD, CBSC and Health and Safety codes.

2. Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple priorities, problem solve and meet deadlines with minimal supervision



Special Skills/Equipment:

1. Strong organizational and computer skills and excellent verbal and written skills

2. Demonstrated team leadership ability, flexibility of management style and effective problem solving skills
