ViaSat produces innovative satellite and other wireless communication products that enable fast, secure, and efficient communications to any location. Products include satellite networks and antenna systems, tactical datalink terminals (MIDS), HAIPIS-compliant secure IP networking, tactical mobile IP networking, and communication simulation and training systems.


Prior to our public offering we were named to The INC. 500 list of fastest growing private companies three times. More recently our performance has earned listings on the BusinessWeek "100 Best Small Corporations" and Forbes magazine "200 Best Small Companies in America," and the Business 2.0 "100 Fastest Growing Tech Companies." In 2004 the company was honored with the Hannover Fairs ISCe2004 Satellite Industry Award for Innovation and Technology and CEO Mark Dankberg was named “Satellite Executive of the Year” by Via Satellite magazine.


ViaSat's record volume of new awards in the past two years have made it one of the Washington Technology “Top 100 Federal Prime Contractors.” and one of the "Top 50 Space Companies" as compiled by Space News.

The company employs over 1,000 professional and support personnel. More than 50% are engineers, and many hold graduate degrees in electrical engineering or computer science. Annual revenues totaled $346 million during the past fiscal year (ended April 1, 2005).

Founded in 1986 by three former employees of Linkabit Corporation in San Diego, ViaSat is publicly traded on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol VSAT.
