Landscape Construction Foreman

Purpose: JOB TITLE: LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

DEPARTMENT: LANDSCAPE CONTRUCTION

POSITION REPORTS TO: LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

RESPONSIBLE FOR: LEADPERSONS, CREW MEMBERS
& EQUIPMENT OPERATORS



POSITION SUMMARY (Brief Description):

This position is responsible for the overall quality of landscape construction on all job sites, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Execute all facets of construction so that all contracted provisions are completed with efficiency and a high level of quality work and service to the client.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Maintain communication with the Landscape Construction Superintendent on production schedules,
Inspections, extra work, deadlines, material requirements and customer requests.

2. Direct the performance of assigned crews; ensure their performance is in accordance with contract
Specifications and estimate sheets.

3. Schedule equipment and labor needs with the Superintendent (daily/weekly).

4. Provide on-the-job training for crew members to increase their knowledge of construction and safety.

5. Maintain documentation for work performed, including daily time sheets, work order requests, and receipts
For rentals/purchases with customer job name or job # as the P.O. number. .

6. Inform Superintendent of all customer requests (problems, extra work, etc.).

7. Responsible for equipment certification for new operators to ensure safe operation of equip/supplies;
Troubleshoot problems with employees and/or equipment/supplies; service equipment/trucks as needed.

8. Maintain first-aid supplies at job sites and/or in vehicles.

9. Work w/Superintendent to adjust daily/weekly work schedules.

10.Perform other duties as assigned by management.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. Valid Driver?s License

2. Minimum 3 years experience in residential or commercial landscape construction.

3. Prefer 1 year prior field leadership experience; be able to demonstrate ability to manage tasks and employees.

4. Able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with clients, customers, vendors and employees.

5. Possess comprehensive knowledge of plant materials, planting and growth habits.

6. Demonstrated ability to safely operate various pieces of equipment and trucks.
