Finance Manager
Finance Manager Job - Immediate need for an experienced Project Commercial/Accounting Manager for state-of-the-art water and wastewater treatment project in the Washington, D.C. area. The selected individual will direct and manage accounting, financial and administrative activities of the project. The Project Commercial Manager is responsible for maintaining accounting functions and preparing financial status reports, including analysis and forecasted performance. Working in concert with the Project Manager, this individual will provide a clear audit trail for research, estimating, financial, tax and payroll audits. This individual will coordinate commercial activities between the company, the client, governmental entities, subcontractors and vendors. This individual will also develop job specific procedures, along corporate guidelines, for documenting correspondence, back charges, overtime, extra work, etc. In addition, will coordinate with office payroll manager and HR manager for compliance with law and corporate requirements on payroll and personnel administration. Will conduct extensive financial analysis to identify potential savings or cost overruns, recommending effective cost management strategies to project manager. Establishes and maintains relationships with financial institutions. The selected candidate must have five to seven years project commercial management experience in the construction industry and must have a BS in Accounting or Finance. Requires strong knowledge and use of Excel. Must be familiar with widely accepted U. S. Accounting practices in the construction industry and must be able to work well in the office environment or at project sites while effectively communicating with multiple levels of personnel.
