Contraction team seeks an Estimator to add to the team. You will be responsible for developing and updating takeoffs on potential projects, updating budgets, performing house profit analyses, and making side by side analyses of similar projects. This position is responsible for all cost control functions for construction projects including complete estimates, value analysis, comparisons, and historical cost reports.

On a day to day basis in this role, you will: - Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents for thorough preparation of estimates. - Develop product specifications and scopes of work. - Develop and maintain estimating database system. - Compare and contrast material quantities, unit rates, and methodology against historical data. - Generate periodic market analysis to benchmark commodities and labor costs for optimization. - Complete variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted amounts. - Assist Purchasing Director in generating projected direct costs. - Ensure product specification change requests are processed. - Work closely with Purchasing Manager ensuring direct and option costs are completed. Requirements: - At least two years of construction experience, including estimating. - Be able to demonstrate a proficiency of Blue print reading as well as take-off estimating. - Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related technical field or equivalent hands on experience. - Strong organization and time management skills. - Team player.
