Director of Commercial Software Development

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 per year Robert Half Technology is looking for a Director of Commercial Software Development to join our client's team in Bellevue, Washington.Required Skills:
Expert in C/C# and .NET windows and other Microsoft technologies.

Proficient with commercial development methodologies such as SCRUM, unit testing and coverage protocols. General knowledge of Microsoft Team System use a plus.

Knowledge of Commercial Software QA and Production issues.
Ability to act as mentor and manage product leads and product development issues.

Good reporting, writing, and speaking ability.
Candidate must be a high energy technical expert that has shipped products as either a director of engineering or senior lead at a commercial software company. Candidate must also be willing to interact at the technical level with other engineers on a daily basis for architectural, implementation, and design issues.Successful candidate should have sufficient aptitude so that, if necessary, he/she could temporarily fill in for a product lead at a moment*s notice. Primary duties do not usually include direct coding but candidate must have sufficient knowledge to participate in nuts and bolts implementation issues at the language and operating system levels on a daily basis, if necessary.
Duties:Candidate will report to and work with CTO and Product Architect Manager to research and develop existing and new products lines and features, prototypes, specifications, and project schedules.
Apply hands on mentoring including coding and architecture reviews, technical and creative problem solving, product design as well as management of three small commercial development teams.
