Construction Manager

As our Manager of Construction You will beresponsible for overseeing all stages of c onstruction for a Universal Studios Hollywood project Team.You will also:
Manage interactions with the general contractors and serves as a liaison between the general contractors and USH project team
Work closely with the Project Director and the Project Architect to ensure accurate design to construction development
Become familiar with the Creative concept package and monitor the development of the construction documents with the Project Architect
Assist with the pre-qualification and evaluation of potential construction vendors
Develop site lay down and access plan for the projectsDuring the Design Phase you will:
Assist the project architect with the review of all of the various design phase submittals from the architects and show vendors
Review design documents for construction, completeness, corrections, and coordination and compile a list of comments
Review the existing facility status to evaluate what potential issues used to be addressed by the design documentsDuring the Bid/Award Phase you will:
Assist in the preparation of the Request for Proposals
Prepare all documentation required for site access, lay down and other logistics for the contractors and vendorsDuring the Construction Phase you will:
Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly area meetings of the general contractors with USH project team and document the results in daily/weekly/monthly meeting minutes
Assist in the presentation of all required construction management processes including but not limited to: RFI's, Shop Drawings, Directives, Submittals, Punch Lists, Short Form Agreements and other documents as required
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in engineering Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field is required
5+ Years of relevant construction/project management experienceDesired: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred
