Construction Assistant Project Manager
Purpose
Provide primary project documentation processing and technical direction to insure accuracy and timeliness of the project through preconstruction, construction and close out.
Representative Tasks and Responsibilities:
1.Prepare and maintain up-to-date control records, review and ensure accuracy of submittals and RFIs documents, follow up of timely document return, distribute revised drawings and changes to subcontracts, architects, owners, etc.
2.Manage documentation functions as required in coordination with subcontractors, superintendents and project design professionals.
3.Manage subcontractors on assigned job as required.
4.Compile various weekly project reports for construction meetings and communication.
5.Review drawings with Project Manager for all bulletins and scope changes, review subcontractor scope changes, prepare Potential Change Order and Change Order Requests for review by Project Manager.
6.Distribute subcontractor change orders.
7.Follow up on timely project close out.
8.Work with Project Superintendent and Project Manager to monitor schedule and record and communicate changes.
9.Exercise project management responsibilities and functions as necessary to meet client project goals.
10.Assist in training of Project Coordinators, Project Administrators and new Assistant Project Managers.
11. Manage projects under supervision of Project Manager/Senior Project Manager.
12.Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications

Education:
1. Certificate in Construction Management or Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction business and/or other technical discipline.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
2. Knowledge of construction documentation and pricing.
3. Working knowledge of basic software programs, e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Prolog.
4. Ability to organize, report and distribution of project documentation.
5. Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
6. Ability to independently organize work assignments and meet critical deadlines.
Experience:
2-4 years experience in the construction industry
