Civil Drafter - Land Development (CAD)

Purpose: Highly respected Civil Land Development firm actively seeks skilled and experienced Civil Drafters to support our Engineering Land Development department.

This Civil Drafter will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate Civil drawings based on Civil Engineer verbal and written instructions and designs, using AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop. Our firm handles a diverse range of residential and commercial subdivision projects.

Ideal Civil Drafting candidates will have a minimum of 1-3 year of professional Civil Drafting experience; and good working knowledge of AutoCAD. Candidates with LDD/ Land Development Desktop skills are preferred. Drafters must have the ability to thrive in a team oriented environment, where interaction with engineers and other design staff is key. Candidates must be highly reliable, hard working, detail oriented, and have a willingness to take on a leadership or mentorship role with our less experienced drafting staff.

Civil Drafter job responsibilities will include the drafting of subdivision layouts, construction drawings, preliminary plot layouts, and infrastructure drawing details. Drafting details will include redlines, as-builts, survey drafting, land plats, plan and profiles, curb and gutter, elevations and grading, utility layout (water, sewer, storm drain), and roadways.

Salary: $18-$30/hr DOE
