Assistant Civil Engineer- Public Works

CMTS Inc a Construction Services firm with offices throughout the U.S. is seeking qualified candidates for a Public Works Assistant Civil Engineer to assist with a Capital Improvement program within Los Angeles County. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. This is a great opportunity for a sharp and energetic entry level or higher level candidate. Work under the direction of Professional Engineers in a municipal government environment on a wide variety of tasks including NPDES permit review, wastewater discharge review, environmental discharge review, design and design drawing review, field measurements, inspection, and report writing. Projects include roadway improvement, traffic signal, landscaping, drainage, and some building projects. All projects will be constructed in accordance with CALTRANS and Standards for Public Works Construction (Greenbook) specifications. In addition to the previously described tasks, the selected individual will assist the CIP Project Manager and interface with the Public Works Department on multiple construction projects ranging in value from $1M to $5 million.

REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualities include:
