TranSystems Corporation is looking for a Senior Architect to join our growing architectural department. The ideal candidate will be a registered architect with over 10 years of professional experience in general commercial architecture. He or she must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary projects. Projects may range from commercial to industrial or governmental. Responsibilities will include preparation of conceptual design and construction documents drawings using AutoCAD 2005, preparation of investigative design reports and studies, and project coordination with in-house engineers and outside consultants. The project architect will supervise junior staff as well as maintain a hands-on role in the production of deliverables. He or she will work under the general supervision of the department head but is expected to work independently to move forward on assigned projects according to scope requirements and meet submittal deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
