AUBURN UNIVERSITY CIVIL ENGINEER (ASPHALT) SENIOR The National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Civil Engineer (Asphalt) Senior. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs professional work requiring a knowledge and application of engineering concepts, principles and practices in research, development, testing, design and analysis of asphalt materials, processes, and equipment; may coordinate the work of aides or technicians. The minimum qualifications for consideration are a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering and ten years' experience; OR a Master's degree in above stated fields and eight years' experience; OR a Doctoral degree in above stated fields and six years' experience. Accountable work experience time credited for entry may include time engaged in prior professional work, student research projects, intern work, technical work and other responsible activities related to asphalt materials use, research and development. Must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States. Desired qualifications include experience using Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT), analysis and performance modeling, database applications, SQL programming, statistical analysis, and report writing.
