A/V Installation Apprentice - Journeyman/Apprentice Electrician

Design Build Company seeking to fill 3 positions in downtown San Diego, CA.

1. A/V Apprentice: Full time, entry-level position. A leader in home integration is seeking qualified individual to perform the installation and programming of A/V residential products. Applicants must be motivated self-starters, who are able to follow directions and translate written instructions/work-orders into finished product. Experience should include residential installation of audio/video systems. A/V Apprentice should be able to successfully complete and maintain the following disciplines and standards:

Install a basic home theater system utilizing a Surround Receiver, VCR, CD, Tape, DVD and Television, driving in-wall, on-wall and/or floor standing speakers, a center channel and subwoofer .
Run Wire
Install speakers into drywall
Mount on-wall outdoor speakers
Install volume controls
Install basic IR repeater system
Troubleshoot Programming
Program manufacture remotes
Accurately and timely complete progress reports

2. Electrical Apprentice- The main purpose of the Electrical Apprentice is to provide electrical wiring and installation as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities: To assist members of the team with all phases of electrical installations as requested to include: installing, repairing, wiring and testing of new and rough electrical work, assembly of fixtures, loading/unloading the van, material inventory, clean-up. This position requires a minimum 1-3 years experience performing electrician duties, formalized training and education, understanding of NEC codes and guidelines.

3. Licensed Journeyman Electrician to independently provide and assist members of the team with custom residential installations according to NEC guidelines. Ability to work in collaborative manner with management, co-workers and clients is essential. Organized, self-starting, solutions driven leader with the ability to manage, train and motivate others. Punctual, consistent in work output, good listener, responds well to constructive criticism.
