Senior Software Engineer (Embedded Developer)

Play a key role in the design, development and maintenance of software and firmware for electronic control systems deployed in the rail industry. Design and develop high quality software products in a fast paced environment, support and help enhance the entire software development life cycle, assist with the development and continued improvement of software quality plans and test procedures.

Give technical direction to and mentor junior level engineers. Perform and supervise unit, module, system and regression level testing on various software modules and systems. Collect, analyze, and report test results, perform root cause analysis, recommend solution and take corrective action as necessary.

Develop and lead software requirements specifications, functional specifications, software design and software test documents.

REQUIREMENTS
Thorough understanding of the creation, design and implementation of modular software components, memory management techniques, standard calling conventions, low level device control and real time embedded development is expected.

8+ years of related software engineering experience. Fluent knowledge of C, C++, and real-time embedded software development. Solid work experience with SCM, change management, defect tracking, software build and release processes.

A thorough understanding of RTOS environments, the Windows operating system, software configuration management tools, scripting languages, SDLC and test methodologies is required.

BSCS, BSEE or Equivalent (MS preferred)
