Manager - Implementation (payment processing industry)
JOB SUMMARY Directs and coordinates the activities of Implementation to obtain optimum productivity and quality of service. Responsible for ensuring GREAT Service, quick setup, and overall quality for new merchants and changes to existing merchants. Manages temporary teams performing conversion duties and ensures successful transition. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages staffing, conducts performance appraisals and makes salary recommendations Responsible for personnel matters including interview, selection, hiring, training, conducting counseling sessions and disciplinary action meetings, and terminations Defines, documents, and publishes performance expectations for each position within the department and monitors individual performance to ensure minimum performance standards are met Documents, implements, and publishes department policies and procedures; communicates changes to company personnel as required Plans and implements department goals, objectives and service levels - publishes it to company management Communicates any department difficulties that may result in slowed process times Manage temporary teams of employees to conduct bank or merchant conversions in an efficient manner Communicate with outside sales groups, vendors, and bank officials Prepares and maintains management reports for department and individual performance Conducts regular meetings to communicate performance results and company / division changes Develops and implements effective methods of recognition and reward for employees exceeding performance standards Develops employees and encourages a career path within Implementation that promotes employee growth while retaining expertise within the department. Interfaces with members of management within other departments to improve or implement new processes. Maintains confidences in all matters concerning management decisions, personnel issues, department and company changes, etc. Leads by example with the highest level of adherence in all aspects of conduct, customer support, published business processes, company policies, and management procedures Performs related duties as directed by management.
REQUIREMENTS

Direct sales have fueled their phenomenal growth. In 2004 alone, merchant transaction volume exceeded 8 billion. Today, our client processes transactions for nearly 100,000 merchant sites serviced by over 600 affiliated sales groups and 400 agent banks. Manager - Implementation Reports To: VP Implementation Supervises: Staff consisting of 18 FTEs and Conversion Teams as needed Compensation: The salary range is $55k - $65k plus bonus, depending on qualifications and industry experience. Location: Houston SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2 years management experience in the industry Superior problem solving and communication skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Expansive understanding of systems, procedure, and policies within the Organization. Strong ability to deal with multiple tasks similtaneously, prioritize and meet deadlines Excellent negotiating and diplomacy skills; exceptional oral and written communication skills Demonstrated typing and word processing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Demonstrated ability to teach, inspire and motivate others EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS BS/BA in Business Administration or equivalent preferred (3+yrs experience equivalent in management)
