Sales Support Representative8/31/2006
Job DescriptionGoal-driven and self motivated individuals find success as UPS sales representatives. The chance to make a significant impact on the company’s bottom line by increasing volume is an attraction for qualified, successful applicants because the UPS sales representative plays a strategic, critical role in our organization. In addition to customer relationship management for existing clients, the sales representative will target acquiring new small business customers. As such, UPS sales representative are required to make customer visits and cold calls, ultimately making presentations to sell the UPS product portfolio. Sales representatives create their own schedules (typically 40-hours per week) in order to achieve annual goals of sales that total approximately $300,000. In exchange for their accomplishments, sales representatives receive a competitive starting salary, plus a December half-month bonus, and a 6-month increase based on performance. In addition, there is tremendous opportunity for advancement within our Business Development function, as sales representatives are regularly promoted to account executives within our district offices, as well as to other business units.
