and our career opportunities are outstanding.We are recruiting for the position of TECHNICAL CONSULTANTA snapshot view of this position: Assists Account Executives and other field sales representatives with complex
application design related to the sale and provisioning of Deltacom products and
services.
Assists Corporate & National Accounts sales team as directed by TC-III or
management to ensure the application needs of existing customers are met as
related to data communications networks, integrated voice and data networks,
complex voice networks and applications, and Internet applications.
Prepares and delivers presentations and proposals on complex systems in
conjunction with the sales teams.
Prepares request for proposal (RFP) responses in conjunction with the
appropriate sales team as necessary.
Delivers technical training to the field sales organizations related to
complex products at Deltacom as directed by TC-III or senior management.Qualifications for this position: Four Year College degree in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, or
Telecommunications preferred. Business degrees may be considered with adequate
professional experience. Non-degreed candidates must have a minimum of seven
years experience in the application of telecommunications services, data
communications services, data processing services and meet other technical
criteria described herein.
Minimum of two years experience in the areas of technical consulting or
telecommunications management. Experience must include data communications, data
processing, complex voice telecommunications systems, and network design of
communications networks.
General presentation skills in the area of speaking in front of individuals
and groups are required. Requires the ability to communicate complex technical
information in a manner so that non-technical personnel will be able to
reasonably understand the concepts and content presented.
Written and verbal communication skills in the area of internal communications
and reporting are required. Status reports, management reports, memoranda, and
technical writing is expected.
Data gathering skills in the areas of communications networks in order to work
with or assist TC-IIs or TC-IIIs in designing networks or applications for
