Lean Leader

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: QualityResponsibilities: This new role will partner with the global Diagnostic Ultrasound business to promote Lean Six Sigma for the business, driving a Lean culture of continuous improvement throughout the business segment in three poles and across four product centers. The Lean Leader will take a strategic view of the organization, acting as a Sensei to move the DU IT organization toward a Lean focused culture.Key responsibilities include:
Lead global initiatives to reduce variable and operational costs utilizing Lean methodology to eliminate low value steps and waste in core business processes for global Diagnostic Ultrasound and Information
Champion Lean opportunities and lead Lean kaizen events within DU IT and establish timely management and functional reviews.
Apply Lean six sigma principles along with implementing proven global best practices throughout the business segment.
Drive Lean and DFM requirements for select model new product introduction processes, and drive corrective and proactive improvements as appropriate.
Develop appropriate dashboards and influence cross-functional team members to meet aggressive DFM and Lean Program and business targets.
Facilitate the Shingijutsu Action Workouts, Lean Horizons action workouts and Global Kaizen Events.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering and minimum of 5 years experience in leading cross-functional teams OR 13 years experience in quality function
Green belt or equivalent six sigma training and certification.
Lean teaching experience.
Excellent presentation skills, and ability to translate theory into practical application.
Ability to travel 10-15% globally
Unrestricted work authorization in the US, without sponsorship
Willingness to submit to and pass a drug test and educational, employment and criminal background checks
Willing to work out of an office located in Wauwatosa, WisconsinDesired: *Strong change management and influence skills; ability to negotiate and communicate at several levels of the organization.
Working knowledge of Toyota Production System: JIT, JIDOKA and HEIJUNKA with proven track record of success.
Demonstrated mastery and application of core, physical and infrastructure of GE's Lean Deployment Guide for internal candidates; comparable knowledge for external candidates.
Ability to energize others, perceive change as opportunity; confidant and tenacious approach to deliverables.
